Over the past couple of months, we have been working diligently towards getting everything ready for Apex. If you haven’t already looked, BIS has added a megaton content for this update. This not only includes the new Tanoa map, but also a host of new weapons, vehicles, equipment, and structures.

So the big question on everyone’s mind is likely this:

“Will a map on Tanoa be ready for launch at the same time as Apex?

The short answer to that is no.

However, we plan to live test what is there with our current version as soon as the launch goes live to ensure that everything is working as it should. That will include our current infrastructure with Altis, Stratis, and all the standard assets we’ve been using. Like every major Arma 3 update, there are almost always issues that we need to address in the code. We want to make this the priority to ensure that everything is stable before releasing PVP Warfare 2.06.00.

All this said, we should at least have 3-4 basic Tanoa missions ready for Tuesday or Wednesday (July 12th or 13th) after the launch on the 11th. Note that these WILL NOT include any of the new assets. As we stated above, there are a lot of them that we need to work into our current scripts and do a balance assessment. We will dedicate at least one server for Tanoa maps only.

Right now we are targeting for the following week (Week of July 18th) to have the new factions, gear, and vehicles implemented for all the maps.

If you haven’t noticed already, we have some visible statistics for all our servers located at http://stats.eutw.net.

Thanks to the hard work of -[EUTW]- Benjamin, we have front and back-end systems in place to  track just about everything that happens throughout a mission. This is not only a great feature to show outwards to the community, but it’s also useful for us to track the impact of any new features or weapons we’ve added or be smarter in the changes we make to existing systems.

If you click the completed missions along the right sidebar of that page, you will display a selected group of compiled stats from that mission including cash flow, kills, deaths, critical hits, kill ranges, vehicles purchased, MHQ’s destroyed, MHQ Driving Time, etc…

We’ll keep everyone updated on what is happening with this as soon as we have more information additional features added to this.

On a different front, -[EUTW]- GiPPO, has been working on a tool for the Eden Editor to make it easy for just about anyone to create a mission.

This will be a simple add-on package for Arma 3 that will provide a series of marker points and attached structures that are simply dragged, dropped, and require you to set basic pre-defined parameters. This will make it easy for anyone to create maps for the community with little impact to us. Before the would-be mission could considered for inclusion in the rotation, we would need to perform a due diligence check to ensure that the setup meets our parameters. That set of parameters will be defined on our wiki documentation when the time comes.

When this is done, we will make this available to the public and create a little contest around it.
